What are BitGo Points?

BitGo Points is a program that allows BitGo users to earn points for activity on the platform. These points measure participation and activity for users of the Bitgo platform.

Who is eligible for the BitGo Points program?

The BitGo Points program is only available to retail users of the BitGo platform. 

How can I earn BitGo Points?

Initially, you can earn BitGo Points by trading. We will add additional ways to earn points, including staking and questing

How many Points can I earn per transaction?

The number of Points earned for trading is based on the dollar value of your trades. The more you trade, the more Points you earn. Initially, you’ll earn 1 Point for every dollar of value that is traded. As you earn more Points, you’ll unlock multipliers that will boost your rewards. Log in to your BitGo account and view the Points page to see the multipliers.

What are BitGo Points and how do they work with the League program?

Points are rewarded to track participation and activity. Starting in April, you’ll earn your place in a League based on your points. There are 6 leagues:

1. Beginner

2. Investor

3. Titan

4. Giga

5. Omega

As our Points program grows, we’ll add more details on levels and privileges.

Points are not blockchain tokens and are not transferable. Points do not, and may never, convert to, accrue to, be used as a basis to calculate, or become tokens, other digital assets, or distributions thereof. Points are virtual calculations with no monetary value. Points and league levels do not guarantee any currency or property of any type.

Is there a cutoff period to stop earning Points?

No, not at this time.

Does it cost anything to participate in the Points program?

The Points program is free to all participants!

Can I opt out of the Points program?

Yes, you may opt out by going to the Settings modal on the Points page. Once you opt out, your points will automatically expire and you will not be able to re-join.

Do Points expire?

Points do not expire as long as the program remains active. In the event the program is terminated, users will have 90 days from the termination date to redeem their Points. After this period, all unused Points will be forfeited.

Is there a limit to how many Points I can redeem?

There is no limit to how many Points you can redeem, as long as you have enough Points to cover the conversion.

How do I view my Points?

Here’s how to view your Points redemption options, points activity, and more:

1. Sign in to your account online at BitGo.com.
2. Within your dashboard, head to the Points portal.
3. View the Points that you’ve earned.

How does the referral program work?

Each user gets a unique referral code. When someone joins BitGo using your code, you earn 10% of the Points they generate. These referral points are distributed daily.

Where can I find my referral code?

After logging in, you can find your referral code on the Points page in the Invite card.

Is there a limit to the number of referrals I can make?

No, there is no limit to the number of referrals. The more friends you refer to BitGo, the more Points you can earn.

Where can I track my Points balance?

You can track your Points balance and activity in the “Points” section of your BitGo account dashboard.

What should I do if my Points aren't showing up?

If you encounter issues with Points not appearing in your account, please contact BitGo Support at support@bitgo.com for assistance.

Are my Points secure?

Yes, BitGo Points are tracked and secured within your BitGo account, leveraging the same industry-leading security measures that protect your digital assets.

I have an account but I don't see the Points page. How do I enable it?

You'll need to have trading enabled first in order to see and earn Points. You'll be able to enable trading if you haven't already by going to "Trade" tab after logging in.

Points are only available to retail users.
