BitGo now supports Cardano (ADA) in both hot wallets and for Qualified Custody. Cardano staking is in development and will be ready mid-year.

What is Cardano?

Cardano is a Proof of Stake layer one blockchain developed by IOHK — a research and development group led by Ethereum co-founder Charles Hoskinson.

The chain describes itself as “a blockchain platform for changemakers, innovators, and visionaries, with the tools and technologies required to create possibility for the many, as well as the few, and bring about positive global change.”

IOHK highlights their academic rigor. Cardano claims to be the first blockchain founded on peer-reviewed research and developed through evidence-based methods.
